The Scientific Committee is the core of the Luigi Einaudi Foundation.

It is headed by Corrado Ocone, the Scientific Director, and composed by distinguished academics.

The Scientific Committee is engaged in various activities: scientific researches, reports and events.

In conformity with the heritage of Luigi Einaudi Foundation, the Committee is divided in five Departments:

– International Affairs Department

– Economics Department

– Judicial Department

– Research Department

– Philosophy and History Department

Corrado OconeCorrado Ocone is an Italian philosopher and political scientists.

§  He was member of the Scientific Committee at Cortese Foundation and at Craxi Foundation.

§  He is author of many scientific papers and articles in relevant journals and national newspapers.

Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata



Giulio Terzi was born in Bergamo (Lombardia Region) on June 9th, 1946.

§  He graduated in Law at the University of Milan, specializing in International Law.

§  He is an Italian diplomat who was Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from November 2011 until 26 March 2013.

§  He has held relevant diplomatic positions, in particular: he was Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations in New York (from 2008 to 2009), where he also headed the Italian Delegation to the United Nations Security Council, which Italy had joined as non-permanent member for the 2007-2008 term; he served as Italy’s ambassador to the United States (from 2009 to 2011).

§  He is member of the Advisory Board of United Against Nuclear Iran. Since March 2016 he is President of the “Global Committee for the Rule of Law – Marco Pannella ” for the promotion of the Rule of Law and fundamental Freedoms.

§  He is Distinguished Professor of Economics, Director of the Ph.D. Program in Economics at Fordham University in New York City, and Director of the Global Economic Policy Center. Honorary Professor at the Shanghai Finance University, Nanjing University, Hunan University, and University of Pretoria. Visiting Professor at various universities on four continents.

§  He has held various professional and editorial positions. Gave more than 600 lectures around the world, was awarded the Achievement Award by the City of University of New York, the Order of the Knights of Malta, and was nominated for the 2010 National Medal of Science awarded by the President of the United States.

§  He also covered positions as: fellow of the New York Academy of Sciences & Chairman of its Economics Section; President of the North American Economic and Finance Association (NAEFA); President of the International Trade and Finance Association (ITFA); President of Megatrend University, Belgrade; Consultant to the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Economic Policy Institute, and multinational corporations and global banks; President of the Society of Policy Modeling since 2005; Editorial positions at the Journal of Policy Modeling, Open Economies Review, The American Economist, and Handbook Series in Economics of Greenwood Press.

§  He is author of leading textbooks in International Economics, Managerial Economics and Microeconomics.

Piero Tony is a famous Italian magistrate judge.

§  He spent his career covering numerous positions inside italy’s judicial system, in particular: he was examining judge (Tribunal of Milan and Venice); Judge and Chairman of Juvenile Court (Tribunal of Tuscany Region); Republic Attorney of the Prato city.

§  He was member of Bioethic Committee at the University of Florence.

§  He was professors of criminal law in several Italian universities.

§  He authored books and law manuals.

Giorgio Calabrese


Giorgio Calabrese was born in Rosilini (Sicily Region) on August 3rd, 1951.

§  Bachelor and Doctor of Medicine and Surgery, he is specialist in nutrition and food Science.

§  He is professor of food Science at Turin, Messina and Oriental Piedmont Universities.

§  He manages several medical centers in Italy.

§  He is member of the New York Accademy of Science and member of American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington.

§  He was member of the European Food Safety Authority – E.F.S.A.

§  He was appointed as Chairman of the National Food Safety Committee – Ministry of Health.

§  He is author of many papers and articles, he collaborated with specialized newspapers and magazines and he supported educational healthy campaigns.

Dario Antiseri


Dario Antiseri was born in Foligno (Umbria Region) on January 9th, 1940.

§  He is a philosopher, specialized in philosophy of language, mathematical Logic and epistemology.

§  He has been Professor at the Sapienza University in Rome and the University of Siena. He also has been Professor of philosophy of language at the University of Padova.

§  He was appointed as Faculty Director – school of Political Science – by the LUISS University in Rome.

§  He was awarded the Laurea Honoris Causa by the University of Moscow.
