Emma Galli

Born in 1964, Emma Galli has a BA in Political Sciences (LUISS University) and a MA in Economics (George Mason University, USA). She then fulfilled her PhD in Economic, Mathematical and Statistical Analysis of Social Phenomena at Sapienza University in Rome.  Since the starting of her academic career, she has held several chairs in the most important universities, in Italy but also abroad.  She is currently a full Professor of Public Finance at the University of Rome Sapienza, Italy. Her main research fields are fiscal policies, fiscal decentralization, economics of institutions and public Choice, economics of corruption, political economy of taxation.

She has acted as discussant in several national and international workshops and conferences, publishing even a huge number of articles, essays, books.

She has been a Visiting Scholar in many international universities.

She is the Executive director of the Luigi Einaudi Foundation’s scientific board.
