Historical Archive

The archives possessed by the Luigi Einaudi foundation are of an utmost relevance for the history of liberal thought and political practice and, therefore, for the Italian history as a while. Specifically, they focus on the Republican period of our country, but they include as well the important “Carte Scialoja”, thus providing a link with the first years of Italian Unity.

The historical Archive is, furthermore, specialized in restoring and enhancing the history of the Italian Liberal Party in the Republican years (1943-1993) through researches, studies and publications. Formidable cultural inheritage, is primarily represented by documents once belongs to Giovanni Malagodi and his family, as well as by other collections belonging to Liberal political men performing fundamental activities within the Italian Liberal Party.

Currently, the Archive possesses 13 collections, belonging both to privates and to sections of the Italian Liberal Party.
