Samuele Murtinu is Full Professor of International Business and Director of the Entrepreneurship Section at the School of Economics at Utrecht University (The Netherlands). He is a Research Fellow at IREF (Institute for Research in Economic and Fiscal Issues). Samuele sits on the scientific committees of the VeM (Venture Capital Monitor) Observatory of AIFI (Italian Association of Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Debt), the Adam Smith Society, and the Family Office Observatory of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano (in partnership with the University of Bolzano).
His research interests focus on entrepreneurship, international business, and the impact of technology on organizational and social levels. He is the author of the book International Economics and Business: Nations and Firms in the Global Economy, published by Cambridge University Press. His articles have appeared in prestigious international scientific journals, and his research has received numerous international awards. Samuele holds editorial positions in numerous international scientific journals.
Samuele served as an independent evaluator at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development as part of the Law on Innovative SMEs. He has also served as a consultant for government agencies, research institutions, universities, foundations, private organizations, and trade associations in various countries. He has written articles on politics, economics, and technological innovation for various national and international publications.
